Full Site Editing
The theme is made as a block theme. This is a modern type of theme that is only supported by the latest versions of WordPress. Unlike classic themes, all areas of a site with a block theme can be edited in the Site Editor, like a page content using blocks.
To open Site Editor:
- Open WordPress Admin Dashboard;
- Go to Appearance → Editor.
Read in the WordPress documentation:
The appearance of the site pages and their surroundings, such as the menu, footer and sidebars, depends on the selected template. You can use ready-made templates, edit them in the editor, or create your own.
To edit templates:
- Open WordPress Admin Dashboard;
- Go to Appearance → Editor;
- Go to Templates;
- Select the template and open it for editing .
Read in the WordPress documentation:
The theme includes ready-made templates for:
- regular pages;
- main blog page;
- blog posts;
- additional pages such as the search page and 404 Error page;
- various WooCommerce plugin pages;
- various pages of The Events Calendar plugin.
Templates may include Template Parts. Template parts contain blocks that are common to several or all Templates.
Template Parts can be opened for editing in the Site Editor in the Patterns → All Template Parts section.
In the Patterns section, regular patterns are also available, which are fragments of pages and templates that can be inserted into a template or into a page in the Site Editor or Page Editor. Patterns included in a theme cannot be edited, but you can make a copy of the pattern and edit that copy. This pattern will be available in the same way as theme patterns in Site Ediror and Page Editor. In Site Ediror and Page Editor, in addition to theme patterns, patterns of installed plugins and the WordPress repository are displayed.
Read in the WordPress documentation:
Theme contains Template Parts for:
- header with logo and menu;
- extended menu overlay;
- footer;
- loading overlay;
- loading indicator.
These parts are used in ready-made theme Templates and you can insert them into your own Templates or Templates that are added by third-party plugins. This allows you to have the same environment in different sections of the site.
